Italian Valpolicella grape juice produces a fragrant table wine: moderate tannin, crisp acidity and good color in a vibrant ruby hue. Aromas have been described as cherry, herb, chocolate and mocha, with tastes of sour cherry, blueberry and cassis.

Best consumed as a young wine. Valpolicella goes well with antipasto and lighter pasta dishes, and with seafood and lightly grilled white meat.
