Privacy Policy

We think privacy is a pretty important thing, so we hope you’ll read the following to make sure we’re all on the same page. Your continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of this policy.

Oh, and for clarification: “we” or “us” is Wine and Beer Supply, LLC, and “you” is, well, you, person reading this right now.

Website Visitors

Just like nearly every other website you visit, Wine and Beer Supply, LLC collects non-personally-identifying information about you; this includes but is not limited to browser type, which website referred you to us, and the date and time of your visit. We use third-party analytics software that also collects this information. This data is useful to us to better understand how our customers are using our site, and to improve user experience over time. We take your privacy seriously.

We also collect personally-identifying data such as users’ Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Other than the companies from which we receive analytics services, any third party ad networks we may participate in and, when applicable, our payment partners, this data is not shared willy nilly with third parties. WE WILL NEVER SELL YOUR DATA. Pinky swear.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Whenever possible, we would rather not collect your IP address and other personally-identifying information. In some cases, there’s no way to avoid this; such as if you create a customer account or log in to an existing account. Or, if you leave a comment on our blog. That information is automatically logged, however like with any data you provide through your use of the site, we use it to provide you with a better website experience and, when applicable, for the purpose of processing purchases on our site. Again, WE DON’T SELL THIS DATA. Not to anyone.

eCommerce

It is important to understand that we and our payment processors collect certain identifying data from users in order to process and complete orders placed on the website. Along with IP address and other browsing information, personally-identifying information such as name and address are collected, and financial information is required to complete a transaction. We do not personally store credit card numbers or any other sensitive financial information belonging to you.

Advertising

We may, from time to time, use widely available tools to display ads on the Google AdWords network, or through certain affiliates. Third-party vendors such as Google use cookies, which sometimes tell them you’ve been to our website before and serve you ads based on that. You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. Lastly, you can permanently opt out of the DoubleClick cookie across the web by installing the DoubleClick opt out extension.

Cookies

This website, along with some third-party social media tools you may use on our site, uses cookies. Cookies are little bits of information stored on your computer to help websites understand more about your use of the site. Many cookies automatically expire within a short period of time (say, an hour or a day) whereas others are stored longer on your computer. You may choose to install a browser extension to block cookies from websites; sorry, but that isn’t something we’re equipped to tell you how to do. A quick Google search should help you with that.
