Italian Bardolino grape juice yields a light to medium bodied wine with a fruit forward profile. Primary fruit flavors can be sour cherry, red currant, fresh raspberry and strawberry.

Aromas can be violet and wild rose, with an elegant light spiciness and hints of black pepper, clove and cinnamon. The result is a low tannin red with moderate alcohol, similar in spirit to a French Beaujolais.

Bardolino pairs well with charcuterie, tomato based pasta, pizza, roast poultry and pork, and even fish such as tuna steaks and swordfish.
