New York Craft Malt

Ted and Patty Hawley started New York Craft Malt in Batavia in 2012, the first malthouse built in New York State since Prohibition. The farm itself goes back to 1909, and Ted is the fourth generation to farm it.

They malt, drum roast, cold smoke and flake grain on site, and they publish analytics on every product. The range covers base malts, the Catskill crystal series, roasted and smoked malts, and flaked grain rolled on the farm.
