California Viognier grape juice produces fruit forward wines with flavors such as ripe mango, apricot jam and sweet honeysuckle. The wines are full bodied and low in acidity, with typically high alcohol content.
Viognier can be aged in oak for a richer, vanilla tinged taste, or fermented in stainless steel to preserve its bright, floral aromatics.
New World white blends pair Viognier with Chenin Blanc or Chardonnay to add aromatic lift and a creamy, viscous mouthfeel.
