California Syrah grape juice can produce rich, deeply colored and intensely aromatic wines.

The wines carry medium to high tannin that softens with oak aging, balanced by medium acidity and a naturally high alcohol potential.

Syrah is one of the world's great blending grapes, prized for its ability to inject deep color, plush mid palate weight and savory spice into a wine. Because it has intense pigments and firm structure, even a small percentage can dramatically transform a pale or flat blend.
