California Malbec grape juice produces a dry, full bodied, fruit forward wine with layers of blackberry, ripe black plum, blueberry and black cherry. The color is deep purple, with medium to low acidity and generally softer tannin than Cabernet Sauvignon.

Aromas can suggest violet and magenta blossoms with secondary accents of cocoa, sweet mocha, tobacco and warm baking spices.

Malbec is a crucial blending component in Bordeaux style wines and can enhance structure and flavor without overpowering. Its medium to low acidity pairs well with higher acid grapes to create a more balanced, lingering finish.
