California Cabernet Franc grape juice produces wines with herbaceous notes, red fruit flavors and refined tannin. Medium to full bodied. A rich dark wine carrying slightly less tannin than its counterpart, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cabernet Franc is one of the major red wine grapes of Bordeaux, France. It is often blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to create a Meritage, and it is also vinified alone. Lighter than Cabernet Sauvignon, it contributes finesse and a peppery perfume to blends.
